About

I began Aikido in 1992 in Australia, after an Aikiko-practising friend stepped behind me when I asked him what would happen if I threw a punch at him. As a teenager at the time, I thought that the idea was impressive.

I was originally taught that Aikido uses the power of an attacker against them. However, I only really learned anything about that many years after I began, stopped, and began again.

I now live in Fukuoka, Japan, and practice Aikido almost daily. The views in this blog are my own, or those of any authors I invite to contribute.
